It seems to me,that the number of toxic people is growing.Maybe i've just come across more of them over the last few years?
Often people with HUGE egos want to wangle their way in,control people and know everything about everyone(normally to be held in reserve to be used against them at a later date!)if they don't conform to the toxic ones wishes,normally!
Amongst the pagan community,this is a massive problem,what SEEMED to be a free-thinking,easy-going group across the country,just a few years ago,has now turned into a very insular,judgemental group of bitter people,sometimes driven by the false-gossip of these same "toxic people"
There are still lots of lovely,genuine people amongst the pagan community,but they are being driven underground,too wary/afraid to connect with others because of the way the "pagan community" has been changed and subverted by the toxic liars and control-freaks.
If only we (the genuine,nice ones) can still try to connect with others,we will find each other,I have had experience of several toxic pagans over the years,the first one hurt badly,every successive one,less-so....You also learn to spot them more quickly and so limit the damage to yourself and others.
One bit of advice i have,is be concerned with YOUR path,YOUR life and YOUR way of expressing both,others choices are not your business.......If this cuts the negative judgements by pagans of other pagans even a tiny bit,it will be a start!
It's not others decrying pagans and villifying them nowadays,it's other pagans......What a sad state of affairs!
